The project delivery will be split into pilot phases in 8 ‘pioneer’ London Boroughs so that different approaches to combining the three messaging areas can be tested, measured and the learnings applied in subsequent pilot phases. After this there will be continued lower levels of engagement within the pilot boroughs over the lifetime of the TRiFOCAL project. The borough level activity will be re-inforced by London-wide activity.
The final phase will be to look at how the findings from the pilots can be applied across all the London boroughs. Evaluation activities are planned to measure the impact of the campaigns. This will include the compositional analysis of household food waste in 2017 prior to the launch of the delivery activity and at the end of the project in 2019.
