Small Change, Big Difference - the food campaign for London that delivered activity between 2017 and 2019

From the student who’s living on baked beans to the busy working parents of three, the campaign aimed to help everyone in our amazing capital make small food changes to lead better, healthier, more sustainable lives. Achievable changes, like buying the occasional pack of frozen veg instead of fresh, or stretching a pack of beef mince across two meals instead of one – help make a huge cumulative difference.

The TRiFOCAL project was funded through the EU LIFE programme, with match funding (and a lot of hard work) from our partners: WRAP, the London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) and Groundwork London.

While the campaign covered the whole of London, work was particularly focused on 15 boroughs:

  • Bexley
  • Brent
  • City of London
  • Croydon
  • Hackney
  • Hounslow
  • Islington
  • Kingston
  • Lambeth
  • Lewisham
  • Merton
  • Richmond
  • Southwark
  • Sutton
  • Tower Hamlets
